I got a very prompt and friendly reply to my request for information about a part that I needed. I was sent an e-mail with the information and even a link to make the order process even easier. Some sites have low prices, but high shipping cost. But this site has both low prices and reasonable shipping.

Hello Chibi. You will need to test the thermal fuse AP3132867 and make sure it reads closed in the unit. Also, test the door switch and make sure it is good. If either one of these parts are bad, it will cause the issue you are having with the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter AP3873826. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html

Asked by Tammie for Model n/a

Tammie, The part you have listed AP3132867 controls power to the motor, not the heater. Amodel number would be a great help, but you may want to unplug ther power cord, remove the rear panel and check the hi limit switch, thermal fuse and wiring at the heater coil, if your dryer is an electric dryer. Thanks and Good Luck

Asked by Steve for Model Kenmore dryer HE2 110.96562500

Hello Steve! The “PF” flashes to indicate that a power failure occurred while the dryer was running. Press Start to continue the cycle, or press Pause/Cancel to clear the display. You will need to check voltage under a load and for loose connections at the terminal block on the back. Otherwisebad it can be a bad control board AP3965135. Hope this helps!

Hello Brandon. Check and make sure you have 240 volts coming to the dryer. Check and make sure the unit is not set to Air Fluff. Also check the heater AP3094254 and thermostats AP3094244 and see if they are good. You can test these with a multi-meter AP3440648. They should read closed for continuity. Asked by Everett for Model rex6634pq0

Hi Everett. We are glad to know there are knoweledgable D.I.Y.'s that follow the advice given of insuring the entire vent cleaning and the vent cap opening and closing 4-5x yr. This allows the moisture to go to another atmosphere(outside) and the dryer to be able to breathe through the cabinets rear vent cut-outs. Make sure these are lint free also. It sounds like the cycling thermostat on the blower housing either is not staying closed long enough or the element is partially shorted. The cycling thermostat part # AP3131939 should always read closed when cold. The internal resister (2-smaller inner terminals) should read between 5600-8400 ohms. The heater is part # AP3094254. Make sure The heater is 7.4 - 11-8 ohms, not shorted to ground as then you may be operating on partial heat. When the dryer is operating normally, it will be warm only half way up the sides . There is a wiring diagram in the control area. Thank You.
