Part #31 (door handle) lists a part # for each of the four colors of washers, but the prices for them differ. Does any one of the four handles fit properly in any color washer? I.E., are they interchangeable regardless of color?

Both handles are missing. I have the measurements. The freezer door from the top to the bottom is 17 3/8". The bottom door from the top of the door down to where the hole is 20". What part do I use? Thanks.

How do you remove the old handle and replace with the new one? Have the necessary drill bits needed and removed all screws and handle still won't come out.

Our door handle is broken, and I've found the part. But I do have a question on the purpose of "door handle foam", p/n AP3128723. I don't see anything that resembles that on our model, GHW9100L

Steve, The door handle foam AP3128723 is not visible when the handle is in position, under the circumstances, it may still be there or fallen out. It's just a pad, to help reduce damage to fingernails and fingers. Good Luck and Thanks

How difficult is it to install a new door handle # AP3128741?

Hi DrSusan. Not too difficult. You will need either a Torx-type screwdriver tips (T-15, T-20) or a phillips screwdriver. Color: Light grey used on platinum models AP3128741. For dark grey order AP3181666. For blue order AP3128742. For bisque order AP3181667. You can access this from the back of the door. Thank you.

Ordered replacement handle part (AP3128742 (8181877) for my front loader washing machine--Unable to get old broken handle off of the door, philips head & regular screwdriver do not fit screw size. What kind of tool do I need to remove broken handle part from washing machine?
