Asked by John Colios for Model A9400

John, Yes, you probably would want to have a set of belts AP4011179 and rollers AP4023752 handy. You also may want to consider a water inlet/fill valve AP4023852, these are the most likely components to have on hand. But, We need to know if the washer is a 120 volt 60 hz washer that has had a "step up" 220volt 50 hz. transformer, or is the washer a 220 Volt 50 hz export machine, If it is an export model, the parts will be different. Thanks

Asked by Tom for Model LAT7314AAE

Hello Tom. The belts are easy to replace on this model. Just lean the washer back and roll the old belts off the pulleys and then roll the new belts AP4011179 onto the pulleys. You will need to use the old one to find the correct location for the different sized belts. Hope this helps.

Hello Steve. I would check the AP4372888 first normally you can tell if it is just the beltsAP4011179 you can remove the pump belt and try turning the pump by hand ,does it turn freely if so it may just be the belts usually its something in the pump just take it off and clean it out. Asked by Chris for Model Maytag A710

Chris, You're going to need a new set of belts, but I'm pretty sure theres more to it than that. Are you sure the washer spins and drains ? Some quick checks to make : Open the lid and check for something stuck between the tub cover and spin basket. Slide the washer away from the wall a few inches, remove the front panel(two phillips head screws), raise and prop up the front of the washer and remove both belts. Check the belts for wear and burn spots, check that the motor assembly moves back and forth freely. Reach under the washer and turn the transmission pulley in both directions, Clockwise is the spin and it should take some strength to turn the pulley, counterclockwise is the agitate mode and should be easier to turn. If the pulley won't turn counterclockwise you'd have a bad transmission, if the pulley won't turn , or is extremely hard to turn in the clockwise direction, you'd have a seizee tub bearing assembly. Good Luck and Thanks
