Questions & Answers

Hello. You will need to check and see if the drain pump AP4372888 is working properly and removg the water. Make sure the pump belt is good as well. If not, this will cause the issue you are having.
Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com

Hi Dan. Remove the belts and then turn the motor part # AP5272725 ,pump part # AP4372888 . Use a shop vac and towels to pick up the water when you remove the pump and see if anything internal is stopping the pump vanes from turning. Is the motor not turning freely or is the motor glides starving for a light greasing so the glides will slide. Check belts for wear, if needed order AP2660760. Let me know how to assist in the future. Thank You.

Hello Cordovr. It sounds like you either have something in the pump AP4372888 and or you have a bad lid switch AP4026359 most likely you have something in the pump like a small piece of clothing, If I would of had a good email address I could have sent you a complete service manual to help you further along with this,be sure to check the belts as well AP4011179 they will seem loose, they are not a super tight fitting belt, thank you and good luck !

Asked by Troy B. for Model LA7300
Hello Troy. The pump should turn easy by hand and not be tight. If the pump is tight, you will need to replace the pump AP4372888 on the unit. Hope this helps.

Hello Karen. The best way to check, this is to remove the front panel, and run it , I would say it is the AP4372971 tub bearing this is the most likely and the majority of the water will come out during the spin cycle,as it is washing look up at the bottom of the tub in the center, that's is where the water will be coming from. Thank you and good luck !

Asked by Charles N. for Model A282
Hello Charles. Check and make sure the pump belt is good and it is not clogged. Also, make sure the water is shutting off properly and is not filling during spin. If all of this is good, replace the pump assembly AP4372888. Hope this helps.

Hello Mega. Lets start with the leak under the tub that's the AP4023173 has nothing to do with the pump AP4372888 look at the inner wall of the cavity of the washer is there a grease ring where it looks like the water has been running down the inner wall if so that is the sure sign of that bad tub bearing and boot seal.Thank you and good luck !

Hello Tony. Check the pump belt AP4024902 and make sure it is not bad. Also, turn the pump pulley by hand and make sure it is not locked up. If so, you will need to replace the pump assembly AP4372888. Hope this helps.
