Upper oven bake setting is heating too slowly and not making it up to the set temperature. The bake element is turning on and off during the preheat and never quite getting up to temperature, sometimes just staying off all together. Broil function works properly on upper oven and in lower oven all functions work properly. Removed upper oven bake element and tested it - resistance is 19 Ohms. Is it possible coil is on its way to failing and that's causing the problem or is it some other component causing the problem? Was hoping it was the coil because that's an easy fix... Any insight would be very helpful! Thanks.
ANSWER Hello Rachel,
You should check the oven sensor 414152 for resistance. The sensor should read 1090 ohms at room temperature. This does sound more like the sensor rather than the bake element.
