Greetings...We have a Thermador DW44ZP Dish Washer and I have noticed that when the unit enters into a draining cycle I hear a loud moan/whirling sound. It happens almost every time the unit drains. Dishes come out clean...There is no collecting of water in the basin of the washer...Soap is dispensed correctly and water level is correct with regard to cycle on/off.
Could it be the pump assembly? If not, what should I be looking at? Tks!
You will want to check the pump assembly to make sure that there is nothing wrapped around the impeller of the pump or the shaft. Look for something like a twist tie or something similar. If there is remove and run to see if noise is still there. If there is nothing in there and the noise is present then the pump would be the issue.
