My unit starts, fills with water, then pump quits. After short period a slight electrical smell occurs. Does this indicate a failure of the pump motor?

ANSWER Hello Mike,
This sounds like you either have a piece of debris in the pump or the motor windings 239144 have shorted. I kind of doubt the latter, but the first is very possible as I have removed many toothpicks and bones form the pump impeller.
