Our Thermador DW (installed February, 2001) suddenly stopped working yesterday. Everything fine day before. Now the Power (On/Off) button does nothing, the cycle and cycle status bar are blank. No LED lights showing at all. No sound when Power button pushed. Water supply line is fine, and electric circuit for Unit is fine. Tried flipping breaker to off for 2 mins and then flipping it back to On. No change in D/W. The Circuit Board lcoated behind the LED diplay has been replaced two times before. Don't recall reason for first time, but DW was 2 yrs old. Almost 1 yr later to the date the board was changaed again b/c Normal DW cycle was taking 3.5 hrs to complete, and tech said Board was "burnt". So, not water supply or electric powe to unit, but the DW is "dead". Each Board replacement cost us almost $300. Please HELP!
ANSWER Hello Dan. You will need to test and see if your getting power to the control module. If there is power there, but the module is not working, then you will need to replace the module. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DM1. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
