Our dishwasher will not end the cycle. We started it as usual. Later we heard the pump still running, and opened the door. The soap door had not opened, the water was gone and the pump kept running. Now if you turn on the on button the pump just runs. Also the cancel drain function does not work. Is it the control module?
ANSWER Hello Roy,
You should check in the bottom of the base of the dishwasher through the water valve opening for water standing in the base. If the water valve is the issue, it will not be an electrical issue but a mechanical one. The valve will still open, but not far enough to allow a full flow of water. The water in the base assembly of the dishwasher is the key we are looking at. You might even be able to tell with a flashlight and an inspection mirror. The water will puddle in the bottom of the dishwasher base if the water valve is the issue. Replacing the water valve 00425458 should correct the issue. The water in the base will have to be wicked out with a towel to stop the flood switch from tripping the drain pump on.
