The latch on my detergent dispenser is broken and the door will not stay shut. Can I just purchase the latch and spring and is there a way to replace it, or do I need to buy the whole dispenser? If I need to buy the whole dispenser, why do you sell the latch and spring individually?
ANSWER Hello J.M.,
The latch and spring can be replaced individually, but this is a very difficult task to perform so the detergent cup will open correctly. It also is a waste of money many times when you order the latch and spring when you get into the apparatus and find that there are more tiny parts with damage that prevents the new parts from operating properly. The most common occurrence is the door itself will have damage and will not remain in its' installed position. You do not have to order the entire assembly, but I strongly recommend to go ahead and closely inspect the small parts inside it and make sure there are no tabs broken off that will prevent the assembly from holding together.
