When my Bosch dishwasher empties, it make a terrible grinding sound. I found some pieces of glass in the filter, but I suspect some of the glass may have gotten pass the filter into the drain pump. The dishwasher still drains OK. Can I disassemble the pump and clean it out or must the unit be replaced?

ANSWER Hello Richard,
If you have a wet-vac, remove the screens and the torx headed screws to access the pump impeller. Use the wet-vac in this area to remove the glass chips.
