I have a Thermador double oven model MSC239. The upper bake element failed with a large flash. I installed a new bake element. It doesn't heat up. The indicator light that says heating comes on, the oven light and blower work but the element doesn't heat although an ohm meter shows it conducts.
My part list shows a fuse, but says it isn't shown on the diagram. Part 14-19-770 substituted by 189709. Could that be the problem, and where is it? I want to look at it before I order it.
ANSWER Hello Henry,
This sounds like the high limit cutout 414626 has opened. It is on the back of the unit and the one for the upper unit and the one for the lower unit are separate. The one I listed is for the upper oven.
