We have a Thermador 6 burner cooktop with the grill. We believe the model # is PSC486GL (GL = Grill?). Anyway, we have never been happy with the grill and want to know if there is a way to retrofit this model with the griddle. It looks as though we would have to buy almost ALL of the griddle parts which looks to be quite expensive, and even then I am not sure it would work. Is this the only way to approach this? Is there some way to retrofit our cooktop with the griddle without buying all of those parts? Maybe Thermador offers a griddle retrofit kit? Thanks!
ANSWER Hello Jim,
I spoke with a Thermador representative who informed me that the change over will not work. The only option you would have is to install another double burner like the ones you already have on the left and right. PSC486GLZS
