My old Gaggenau lower convection oven will not heat up. All other functions, fan, light, clock, upper oven, and lower oven broiler work fine. The intermediate temperature settings range does not heat. All wire connections are intact and the oven is otherwise in fine shape for being 25+ years old. I am looking at the temperature regulator as a possible source. Am I headed in the right direction?
ANSWER Hello Kevin,
The temperature regulator more than likely will not be the cause if not heating at all. You would want to look at the ignitors to make sure that they are working. You would want to check doing and amp draw. The amp draw should be 3.2 to 3.6 for ignition.
