If the burner reaches high heat and cannot be adjusted to a lower temperature, is it safe to bet that the switch (AP2832038) is at fault versus the burner itself?
ANSWER Hello Don. Most of the time, it is the switch 00414607. You can check the element and see if it is grounded out. If so, replace the element. If not, it sounds like the switch will need to be replaced. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
