I ordered this part because the old one is open (at room temperature), thinking it should normally be closed (there should be continuity). The new one is also open (ohm going towards infinity). What should it be?
The other thermostat with the red button is closed (there is continuity). Is that correct?

ANSWER Hello Ron. The thermostat 163297 should read around 21 ohms at room temperature. Hope this helps.
