The only difference between this part and AP2832928 appears to be the mounting hardware for the ignition system (i.e. potentiometer for the simmer valve and a switch for the standard valve).
The stem for our standard valve was broken off but I may be able to secure an AP2832928. Can I convert the AP2832928 into an AP2832929 by moving the mounting plate from the old valve? It appears there is plastic(?) sprayed into the heads of the screws for the plate... would I not be able to get a proper seal if I broke those?? Does not seem integral to the actual valve.
ANSWER Hello Charlie. No, if the valve you need is 00415499, you will need to order that valve for the unit. These are not safe to swap or convert on the units. Hope this helps.
