The red indicator light next to the electric control knob has dropped down inside the base. The light protrudes through the stainless steel top which is one piece. How do I get to the light on the SGM362 to attach it back in place? Thanks for any information. I've got the top lifted up and do not see any way to get to the light.
ANSWER Hello John,
The burners will have to be removed so the top can be removed from the unit. This is the only way to access anything inside the unit. If the light has fallen away, the light lens, being the part that holds the light in position, will have to be replaced. The part number for the light is 62036 and it comes with the light lens. The lens has no part number so it has not been made available separately. We have no instructions available on the Dacor units as far as parts replacement, but you will have to raise the top at lease a few inches to access the light. Be sure to turn the power and gas supply off before beginning. Be aware that if you try to force the top up without removing the burners, you will be bending the gas lines inside the unit when you force the main top up. A gas leak created like this is hard to detect and creates a very undesirable unsafe situation.
