My 8 inch is only a 4 coil and looking at other sites those are usually only 2100 watts, this one is 2600 watts. I can't find the part number anywhere on my cooktop, it is probably behind where I can't see it at all since it is built in. Would it hurt to install this element if it is a higher wattage?

ANSWER Sue, If you install the higher wattage element, it will work, but won't get as hot as it is designed to. You may want to play it safe and go with a 2100 watt 8 in. burner element 3191454. Good Luck and Thanks
