How do you know when the heating element is out? The reason I ask is that my dryer spins but is not heating.
ANSWER Hello Jess. There are a few ways of checking the element. First is a physical inspection. Remove the part from your unit and look for burnt or broken parts. You can alternatively use a multi meter to test the part to see if it makes a complete circuit. If your element is working but clothes are not drying, you may want to also test your thermostats and the thermal fuse as well as check your unit's ventwork to ensure that it is not clogged or causing low air flow. I hope this info helps!
