I changed the water filter in refrigerator in a condo I just bought and the new one (Frigidaire Kenmore 9911) wont stay snapped in. The water filter base doesn't appear to be broken, but the movable grips that clamp onto the tab on the back end of the filter can no longer hold it in against the spring force. A new filter base costs a lot. I'm hoping there is something I can do to get mine working properly.
ANSWER Hello Pete. Sorry, if the base won't lock in the filter, you wil need to replace the base of the unit. Make sure the filter is not broken first.
