What does the bearing hinge do? My fridge door does not stop when opening. You pull it open and goes until it hits the wall. What might be the problem?

ANSWER Hello Lew. The bearing hinge makes the door swing smooth and quietly. The door stop 240537105 is what helps the door not swing all the way open. You will have to verify why the stop is damaged. Thanks!
