I have replaced the control board but the oven still does not work. The stove top works fine and the oven light works but everything else gives an F30 error. What else can I try to fix this oven.?
ANSWER The F30 Fault code is the code fo a failed temperature probe. You should go to the control board and find the probe connection and test it from there first. This tests the wiring to the prbe also. Many times the probe has lost connection and the probe might be fine, but if it isn't properly connected to the board, the fault code will appear. If it tests bad, (proper readings will be aproximately 1100O at 70°F), you should at that point go to the temperature probe and test it direcetly. If it reads good, the problem is in the harness. If it still reads bad, the probe requires replacement.
Be aware also of the resetable thermostats on this unit. These are thermostats with a red button in the middle of them. Do not attempt to reset one with voltage on it as the terminals are too close to your fingers and you could recieve an electrical shock. You can either test them for continuity with a test meter or you can just try pushing the red reset button and see if it clicks. If it doesn't click, you should still test them with a test meter as they can fail. If I rmember correctly, one of the resettable thermostats are on the back of the unit behind the rear cover and the other is under the control panel. I think I would try this first and if you have no luck, go to the temperature probe.
