I am having difficulty making sure I will be getting the correct part for my dryer. I have a gas Whirlpool dryer that has been converted to LP gas. The dryer no longer will heat up. Is it a matter of the replacement of a part?
ANSWER Hello Ann,
You will want to check the ignitor. The ignitor should have an amp draw of 3.2 to 3.6 amps. If the ignitor does not read this amperage then it is bad. You would also want to check continuity on the flame sensor. If open then the flame sensor is bad. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
