Heating element does not heat up!
Charles for Model Number FPHD2491KF0
ANSWER Hello Charles,
You will want to make sure that there is power getting to the heating element. You should have 120 vac when the heater is supposed to be on across the 2 heater leads. If there is no power then you would want to check your wiring to the control board and also check to make sure that the no heat is turned off. If this checks ok then you would need a new control board. If there is power to the element you would need to replace the element. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
