Our oven just quit working during making dinner - there were no sounds/codes...the panel is just blank. Upon further investigation, the burners are working fine but the oven will not operate/make sounds pushing any buttons EXCEPT the cancel. When you press and hold down the cancel button, a cleaning cycle is started (the top element does get hot). However, once you let off the button it stops. Is this an issue that deals with the clock/control panel or an element issue? The CSR @ Frigidaire suggested that the baking heating element was the cause for the control panel to black out - I'm not a tech but that just sounded off.
ANSWER Hello Wendy. Test for power coming to the control board. If there is power there, and no display, replace the clock 318012903. The bake element does not sound correct here. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
