Does the clock/timer control the preheat and oven ignition and gas flow? I just purchased the gas safety valve think that was the cause of the oven not heating up. My installation of the part did not solve the problem.

ANSWER Hello Mathew. The clock does send power to the igniter. If you have no power to the igniter, you will need to test and see if the clock is sending power to it. If not, replace the clock assembly. Hope this helps.
