My wife said that when she tries to bake, the oven heats up, usually ten to fifteen degrees, less that what she dialed in i.e., 375 degrees. Then the oven does not hold that heat level all the time. Am I right to think that the oven panel is defective? Is there a separate thermos to control the oven heat? Thanks for the help.

ANSWER Hello Art, You need to check the temperature sensor 316134900 with a test meter. It should read about 1100 ohms at about 70°F. If it tests good and the wiring checks out, then you should replace the clock assembly 316101001
