Our old range (Jenn Air) burned out the oven heating element. I got a replacement and installed it.
After installation the range would end up cutting off power (even clock would shut off) when heating up the oven or a burner. It would cut off for about 30 seconds and then power would come back on.
Our thinking was the something happened to the range when that element burned out, so we bought a new range (Frigidaire).
I swapped the power cord from the old range over to the new one. It's a 3 wire power cord.
Now, our new range is cutting off power when heating up the oven.
All power goes off to include the clock.
After about 30 seconds, the power comes back on but when you turn on the "Bake" button to heat the oven, the power cuts off after being on for a few seconds..
Is there a chance that the power cord is bad, after that heating element burned out on the old range..??
I'm stumped on this.
ANSWER Hello Kevin. Check the outlet and the breaker in the unit. If either is bad or weak, it will cause the issue you are having.
