Compressor is not coming on fan works but no compressor if I replace it can i do this myself or does someone need to do it for me, is welding involved
You will want to check the relay 241941003 on the compressor before replacing compressor. When you take the relay off if you see a burn mark on it or melted area then it would be faulty and need to be replaced. If it rattles then it is faulty and would need to be replaced. If the compressor does indeed need to be changed, there is brazing that is required plus evacuation of the sealed system of the refrigeratant. Once the compressor is installed along with a new filter drier you will also need to recharge the system to factory recommedations.
