Washer fills with water and does not spin. I have cleaned and removed inlet and outlet hoses at pump nothing seemed to be in the hoses, except a bad smell. After turning front control to spin I watched the motor it moved very slightly, but not enough to turn drum. Belt ok. Drum could be moved without much effort . Do not have voltage tester, would it be a good bet to replace control board? Can't afford getting wrong part. Any help would be great.
ANSWER Hello Troy,
This is still most likely caused by a defective drain pump. I would hook up 120Vac to the drain pump so I could see it move water. You see, if a piece of debris get into the drain pump while it is running and hits the impeller, this sudden stop can separate the impeller from the motor shaft. If I were going to randomly replace parts without testing them, the pump 137108000 would be at the top of my list.
