Hello, our freezer's "door ajar" alarm wont' stop buzzing! Last year, we had this same problem, and somewhere on the internet I read a blog where somebody said if you unplug the freezer, wait a few minutes, and plug it back in, it will basically reset or trip the alarm and solve the problem - which it did. However, this year, different story as I cannot find that "secret formula" online, and we have since then tried pulling the control thing out of the door, and putting it back in, and that didn't work either. Additionally, the manual has NOTHING on this issue - please help - I am about to throw this freezer outside. PS - Not issues with not freezing; the door isn't ajar, and we checked the drain - nothing plugged....

ANSWER Pam, " Door Ajar Alarm This feature provides a warning if the door is open for more than five minutes. There will be a beep every five seconds and the “Door Ajar” indicator will light up. Press “Alarm Reset” to turn the alarm off. The “Door Ajar” indicator will remain lit until the door is closed. If the door remains open for 15 minutes or more, the interior lamp will turn off." you'll need to check the door light switch 216822900 at the bottom right corner of the cabinet, and make sure the interior light goes out when the switch is pressed. Then check the freezer door and door gasket, to make sure they are activating the switch and sealing against the cabinet.
