Thank you so much for the quick response! OK, so looked at the damper...and it is wide open...assuming that is because it is warm in the fridge.
When I open the freezer...I think I hear the freezer fan running. I know I hear the compressor fan at the bottom. There is visible frost along the back. When I took the back off before...the coils looked fine, but I dont believe I checked the fan. Should I remove the back again and check to see if the fan (evaporator fan, correct?) is running properly? Additionally, what else can I check? If the evaporator fan is not working properly do you all sell the evaporator fan motor/fan assembly? If defrost cycle issue...what part is typically the culprit. Thankfully the freezer side is working and food hasnt spoiled...this is my fridge in the garage. Thanks so much for your help!
ANSWER Hello Randy. Yes, you will need to check and see if the fan motor is running. If not, you will need to replace the fan motor 5303299165 if there is power coming to it. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
