My freezer keep icing up. The lower part of the refrigerator is not cooling properly. I have already replaced the defrost timer.
ANSWER Hello Mr. Bob. On a Frigidaire, defrost issues normally stem from a bad defrost thermostat 5303918202, (otherwise known as a hi-limit or defrost terminator). The best way to check it is when it is cold on the unit. When it's cold, (below 45°F), it should read continuity (just like touching your meter leads together). If this tests good, test the defrost heater 5303918208. It should read in the neighborhood of 30 to 40 ohms, give or take 10%. Sure hope this helps!
