I ordered a defrost thermostat and a defrost heater for my unit in my garage to try and cure the freezing up problem on the coils behind the fan. I replaced the defrost heater first and when I attempted the defrost thermostat there was no place to plug in the defrost heater. the thermostat only has two wires and the one in my freezer has the two blue wires but it also s the plug for the heater. I spoke to one of your customer service techs, Nathan and he said they sent me the right thermostat but the manufacturer changed this set up and said that you all could maybe give me details on how to make this part work. I don't see how it will without a place to plug in the heater. Any ideas?
ANSWER Hello David. You have to cut the wires on the old thermostat and wire the new thermostat 5303918202 into the wires of the old one. This is the reason for the butt connectors sent with the new part.
