So far I have replaced the temperature control thermostat, the defrost timer, and the defrost heater, but the coils in the freezer keep icing up. All the door seals are good and tight. Could my problem be with the defrost thermostat? After defrosting with a hair dryer the fridge temperature will hold steady just under 40°F and the freezer is around 10° to 15° F. After several days the coils will freeze up again.
ANSWER Hello Mitch,
You should test the defrost thermostat 5303918202. Frigidaire units do have a lot of defrost thermostat failures.
