Previously, I had asked this question:
I've been searching for how these door trim clips actually attach to the door and cannot find a part. There's 2 clips on the lower trim part in conjuction with sliding onto the lower portion of the door handle. It appears it may have originally been an adhesive instead of actual hardware. Can someone confirm and describe what is involved?
And got this response:
Hi Mike. From what it shows and list, the trim clips "clip" in and out. Note, since they are installed fresh at the factory initially it will be difficult to remove for the first time. Clip Part # AP2111812. Thank You.
Unfortunately, that didn't answer the question I asked. I already know about the clip part # and how it attaches to the trip piece - that's obvious. What I don't know still is how the clip attaches to the fridge door - there's only a hole with some dried "foam-like" residue remaining and no other hardware. These clips do not snap into that hole either, from what I can see. Any ideas?
ANSWER Hello Mike. Sorry, but the manufacture does not provide how the clips 215782300 are attached to the door. Here is a link to our Repair Forum, this is a free service to our customers.
