We had a glass break in the dishwasher. Took out all we could find. Now it won't discharge any water. It hummes or buzzes for about a minute when it should be pumping out water. Can a small piece of glass get in the pump and jam it? Can pump be dis-assembled and cleaned or just replaced? If replacing pump is needed, do I need any additional parts to complete the installation? Thanks Lynn
ANSWER Hello Lynn. You can remove the pump, but you will need to uninstall the dishwasher and do this from the bottom of the unit. Once uninstalled, lay the dishwasher on it's back and remove the drain pump, and see if there is anything clogged inside. If so, clear it out where the impeller turns freely and reinstall the part, and test. Hope this helps.
