I closed a house for the winter I blew out the supply line with an air compressor and ran some antifreeze through the drain. I could see the antifreeze in the drain hose, so I know it got through the pump. When I started the machine in the spring the drain pump did not work. There was power going to the pump, but it did not run. There was no physical damage indicative of freezing. Is it possible the pump froze, or did it just happen to fail at this time? I have ordered a replacement pump, but wish to know if the failure could have been due to freezing. Thank you!
ANSWER Hello Jmark. It sounds like the pump failed. I don't think it would have froze with antifreeze in it. Hope this helps.
