My front load dryer on low med or high heat. It turns on then kicks right off. But on no heat it runs. Is the heat element blown or what are my possibilities? Thanks

ANSWER Hi. Your element part # 131553900 should read 12-13 ohms and not 0-ohms. Check between each terminal to the chassis ground one leg at time with the ohm meter. It should not read 0-ohms or open. When you have an unknown vent restriction, this will allow the heating element to expand and contract enough over and over to get lazy and touch the element casing (ground) then finally break open altogether and possibly weld itself to the casing. Make sure the vent is entirely clear and not restricted. Make sure the outside vent cap / hood is opening and closing properly 4-5x /yr. so lint and moisture does not back up and create a restriction causing these issues. Make sure all terminal nuts at the dryers terminal block are snug and doubled to lock each terminal so the wire connection does not come loose. Thank You.
