My oven and my burner will not heat up. They will start heating, but will not heat up to get hot.

ANSWER Hello Michael. Test and make sure the element is good. It should read closed for continuity. If it is good, test and make sure there is 240 volts coming to the range. If so, you will need to test and see where you are losing power at. You should have 120 volts on the element at all times, and get the other 120 volts from the control board 316557205. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DM1. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
