Note: This question is for the older version of this part, but we thought you might still find it helpful
The center part (single) of the double element in the front right does not work now. The outside ring works fine. When I put the switch on "single" the element light still glows. I measured the terminals with multimeter and got 230V with element on. Could not get any ohm reading on that element with Stove off at the breaker, except when I put the switch on then only the middle of the 3 terminals would give me a 44 ish ohms reading. Not sure if I used the correct terminals for readings but I presume the orange wire was positive. I'm guessing I need to replace the element rather than the switch?

ANSWER Hello Bob. If the element works on single, but not on dual, it is not the element that is bad, it is the switch. If there is power coming to the element and it does not work on any setting, then you will need to replace the element 316555800. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
