Our oven is a convection/regular oven. No screws are visible to replace the bake element. There is a cover over the convection fan. I would guess that this housing needs to be removed to get to the screws? Also the stove was turned on and the element broke and went to a white hot flame and continued to go down the element some what like a lit fuse even after we cut off oven. Is that normal?
ANSWER Hello OD. Yes, it is normal for the element to burn out like that. The screws should be on the back wall on the inside of the oven. Make sure the power is disconnected before doing the repair to the unit.
