Before browsing your parts , i knew i needed a new evap fan. Located 2 diff parts that look identicle (can't make out no. S on old unit) . On your site, 1 of them costs $70 (218878801) the other $30 (5300158289)
the appliance is over 10 years old but my question is why don't the fans cross reference ? They appear to have the same size & harness. Is there some massive difference "rpm wise " or other function/cycling ? We are talking two to three times the price (on some other sites) Is there any "realistic justification" to something so "seemingly" small & simply, being proprietary with no alternative solution. I mean , they call them "knock off" parts in the auto industry when they're not made by the manufacturer, but if they viably interchangeable - it's a solution of economic priority.
The fan motor that is showing for your unit is part number 218878801. We do not have the specifics on why the manufacturer prices one part higher than another and we do not have the specs of what the difference is of the 2 parts. The OEM for your unit is 218878801.
