Was having loud noise problem. Noticed ice on bottom of this frost-free freezer. Emptied, noticed ice build up on bottom. Removed inside panel after ice began to thaw. Drain was plugged with ice. Turned on freezer and evaporator fan was working but making alot of noise...stopped restarted no noise. Does noise mean I should replace and is this what would have caused ice buildup? Or has ice build up caused the fan to go bad?
ANSWER Hello Millie. Sounds like two issues. First, replace the fan motor 5304436055 is it bad. Then clear the drain on the unit.
