I recently bought a home and the washer and dryer came with it. I've noticed that the door on the washer is sagging and there is a crack of the white plastic frame by the hinge of the door creeping out towards the front. It doesn't look like the hinge is bad but I am not sure could the frame being cracked cause the door to sag?
ANSWER Hi Dan. First of all, use a torpedo level on the top and make sure that it is level front to back and side to side. If it is cocked it will misaligned the striker and wear out the door latch. This may be the cause of the door frame cracking as well. Someone may have leaned on it too hard while removing clothes and started the crack. The door frame is part # 134550700. The door hinge is part # 134550800. If the hinge is loose as you test from lifting the door up and down slightly. Thank you.
