Why does my frigdaire freezer inside the door freeze up. ...not talking about on the door around gasket...but indide the door.
You will want to pull the door liner of the freezer off and install more insulation inside the door. Once you do this you will also want to put a bead of silicone under the door gasket to keep air from migrating into this area. The part numbers that you will need for this issue are 297268700 which is insulation. It would be recommended to get 2 of theses and when you install it, cut it to the length of the opening on the door panel and push it in from the middle to allow it to double up. Also put it in the grooves for the shelves on the back of the door liner. For the sealant that you will need it is part number 5304469950. When you go to put the liner back on the door you will want to try to have the door seal in place on the liner itself. It is easier to do the repair by having the door laying on the ground or a surface that will not damage the door. You will want to apply the silicone sealant on the back side of the door seal, this will keep it from allowing air to migrate into the inner door and cause the same repeated issue.
