The glass cover, heat barrier, of my oven shattered and I just ordered a new one. How difficult is it to replace? It looks as if it is glued on the bottom and screwed on the top with the handle. Is there something else I need to replace it properly?
Diane for Model Number FES365EBD
ANSWER Hi Diane. Not really except to remove power and open the door hinges and lock them in place so the door can be lifted off and inverted on a table top covered with a shipping blanket. Then you remove the trim screws and clean all broken glass with a shop vac. Remove screws that hold the handle on. Make sure to use the handle bushings that pass through the glass/handle area. Use loctite (part # F8283401) on the threads so they dont become loose. Glass part # 318403500. Thank You.
