Note: This question is for the older version of this part, but we thought you might still find it helpful
I am trying to replace the dryer drum glides, and it appears that some of the clips on the back of the glides "lock-in' nicely to the drum, however the ones at the beginning and end of the glides, seem to fit very loosely in the holes. Is it supposed to be this way? I am concerned that the loose fit will allow the leading edge of the glide to snag the felt joints. Should all of the clips on the back of the glides "click" into place, or are some of the holes a in the drum slightly larger than the others? Thanks!

ANSWER Hello James,
This sounds like the glides may be malformed. I've never had this particular issue, but I would re-order the glides to make sure I was starting with good parts. If they do the same, as long as they have pressure against the inner rim of the drum, I would install them and run the dryer. If they are not "raised" from the drums' inner edge, there should be no problem.
