Thomas J for Model Number PLGS389ECF
ANSWER Thomas, This style oven ignitor does not "spark", it does glow. There is no fuse generator in the circuit, power to the ignitor is supplied from the ERC/Clock relay, to the igniter and it starts to glow, until it produces 3.2 to 3.6 VAC or draws 3.2 to 3.6 amps on the circuit, to the gas safety valve, then the valve opens and the ignition occurs. You msy need to remove the oven bottom psnel and check the igniter for a "closed" circuit, cracks, or damage, and 120 VAC from the control on the two wires to the igniter. Here's some meter usage information if you need it, [http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html], Thanks and Good Luck
